Where Yaoumy comes from
Yaoumy starts from a simple observation: in many Algerian daycares, a child's day is still recorded in a notebook and a WhatsApp group.
In the morning, the educator writes down arrivals in a notebook, which she copies out again in the evening. Parents call to check their child arrived safely. Photos go out to a group where everyone sees everything. Absences get reported by phone, at seven in the morning.
None of this is anyone's fault: these are simply the tools people had on hand. But the administration has no overview at all, the educator hands out her personal number, and a photo of a child can travel well beyond the daycare.

What we're building: an Algerian daycare app
A single platform where the administration, educators and parents work from the same information, each with their own view.
Yaoumy isn't accounting software with an app bolted on. The platform is built around the child's day: their arrival, their meal, their nap, their activities, their departure. Everything else follows from that.
The director runs the daycare from a web dashboard. The educator works from her phone, on her classes. The parent follows their child from theirs. No one retypes what someone else has already written.

Our principles: an app designed in Algeria
Four commitments that guide each of our decisions.
“Designed here” means specific things. The week runs Sunday to Thursday, with Saturday switchable on. Arabic displays right to left, on equal footing with French. And we say daycare, educator, class, re-enrollment, because that's what you say.
The application and your data are hosted 100% in Algeria. Your data stays yours. When you ask to access it or have it erased, you get a person, not a form.

Who publishes Yaoumy
Yaoumy is published in Algiers, and the person responsible is named.
We don't hide behind a contact form. The name of the publication director, the address and the phone number appear on this site. That's the first thing a director should be able to check before entrusting her daycare's data to anyone.
The legal notice sets out hosting, intellectual property and applicable law. The privacy policy details what the site collects, what it doesn't collect, and what you can demand under Law 18-07.

The simplest way is WhatsApp: send us your daycare's name and city. We reply in French or Arabic. A demo takes fifteen minutes, by phone or at your daycare if you're in Algiers, and you're under no obligation.
You can also write to us by email or at the postal address. This site has no forms and drops no cookies or advertising trackers: your visit here leaves no advertising trace.

No, no connection at all. Yaomy, with a single “u”, is an Algerian food brand, unrelated to us. Yaoumy is spelled with “ou”: it comes from the word يومي, “my day”, and it's the name of the daycare app presented on this site. Search engines sometimes mix up the two spellings.

Yaoumy is designed for Algerian daycares, and that's our priority: a Sunday-to-Thursday week, the vocabulary of daycares here, hosting 100% in Algeria, in-person demos in Algiers. The app also exists in English. If your daycare is elsewhere, write to us: we look at every request.
